Grenada's Prime Minister Tillman Thomas is calling for single representation from the Caribbean at the United Nations and other international organizations.
Speaking at a townhall meeting with Grenadians in Brooklyn, New York Sunday, Mr. Thomas said the region could save millions of dollars that way.
He also linked that proposal to his call for leaders to forge ahead with deeper regional integration.
Mr. Thomas said Caribbean nations generally voted along the same lines on a variety of issues, and that they could have one representation at the United Nations to deal with the region.
He said the monies that were being spent on missions all over the world, could be spent in the development of the region.
