Usain accorded prestigious National Honours

Kingston, JAMAICA: Trackalerts.com have been informed even Usainbefore the Prime Minister, the Honourable Bruce Golding, makes  the expected announcement, scheduled for Parliament this afternoon, that the now world acclaimed super star, triple Olympic and World Champion, Usain Bolt, will henceforth be known as The Honorable Usain St. Leo Bolt, OJ (Order of Jamaica), Ambassador-at- Large with full diplomatic status.

This prestigious national award has only been given to three of the country’s sporting personalities, track and field standout, Merlene Ottey and cricketers, Michael Holding and Courtney Walsh.

In addition to being decorated by the land of his birth, Bolt will have Highway 2000 – the main thoroughfare that links several of Jamaica’s principal towns – re-named in his honour.
