The Sanctuary Empowerment Centre was packed last Wednesday evening as persons turned out to the official launch of the 8th Annual Women of Excellence and Empowerment Ministries Conference.
The conference, which culminates Saturday, has attracted participants from Grenada, St.Vincent, St. Lucia, Curacao, Guyana, Trinidad the United States, Jamaica and host country Barbados.
Addressing the audience, President and Founder of the Ministry Andrea Harris noted that it was not an easy road to get to the 8th year milestone, but through it she gave God thanks and praise for his mercies thus far. She also applauded those involved in the movement and those who she noted has helped in one way or the other.
Harris referred to the ministry’s 8th year as a “bitter sweet number”, noting that the number seven is God’s number of completion, but says for her, eight is a year to start over, a year for shifting, a year for transition
She has implored women to stay focused and not to be hindered from their liberty and freedom.
She declared that as they seek to break the Silence, that shackles will be broken, minds liberated and prison doors.
The 2009 Women of Excellence Conference will also feature a four day Deliverance in the City Crusade, which began on Thursday Sep 3climaxing this Sunday September 6th at Independence Square.
The event will feature guest speakers Pastor Donnie Mc Clurkin, Rev Dr. Conley Hughes and Apostle David Durrant.
The crusade will be held under the theme “Be Free”
