Ryan Hinds has been named to lead Barbados in regional one-day tournament, the President's Cup in Guyana this month, two years after being controversially stripped of the captaincy.
Hinds, 28, last led Barbados in an ill-tempered loss to Trinidad and Tobago in the 2007 Carib Beer Challenge final, a match where he and a number of his teammates were censured for poor on-field behaviour.
Hinds was subsequently overlooked as captain for the one-day tournament in October 2007, even though he had secured the regional four-day crown, the Carib Beer Cup, earlier in the year.
The Barbados squad also includes Dwayne Smith, Kevin Stoute, Sulieman Benn, Kemar Roach, Fidel Edwards and Tino Best.
Courtney Browne the current chairman of selectors has been named the new Team Manager while Vasbert Drakes remains Head Coach.
Barbados will face the West Indies under-19 team in their first match at Bourda.
