Tranmere have allowed striker Kithson Bain to join Blue Square Premier side Kettering on loan.
The 27-year-old Grenada international has made six appearances since joining Rovers earlier this season.
But caretaker manager Les Parry believes he would benefit from a few weeks of regular football before he returns to Prenton Park on 5th January.
"We have a lot of competition here in the striker department with Craig Curran, Chris Shuker, Ian Thomas-Moore, Michael Ricketts and Terry Gornell all starting in recent matches, so Kithson has been limited to substitute appearances and reserve-team football," said Parry.
"This move will give him more experience of competitive football and allow him to get a few games under his belt.
"Hopefully he will return here in January and push for a place in the team."
