ST. GEORGE’S, NOVEMBER 19th, 2009 - Kirani James, Grenada’s leading junior male athlete in the 400 and 200 metre dash, will be attending the 2009 World Athletics Gala in Monaco on Sunday, November 22.
The event, which is organised by the International Athletics Foundation (IAF), and over which the IAAF President Lamine Diack will preside along with the Honorary President of the Foundation, His Serene Highness, Albert II of Monaco, will be attended by other world athletes, such as Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.
James, who may receive the Rising Star Award at the gala, will leave Grenada on Friday, November 20 via British Airways at 6:55 pm. He returns on Monday, November 23 via Condor at 4:15 pm
