Man suspected of killing wife, stepdaughter caught

PERRIS, Calif.—A Riverside County man suspected of killing his wife and stepdaughter is in custody in New Mexico.

Riverside County Sheriff's Dep. Craig Roberts says 52-year-old Michael Barbar was arrested Sunday in the town of Deming, just east of the Arizona state line.

Barbar is suspected in the deaths of 43-year-old Maysam Barbar and 6-year-old Tamara Barbar, who were found in their home in Perris Saturday.

A 10-year-old girl was found unharmed at the house.

Authorities have not revealed how the victims were killed.

Sheriff's homicide detectives will travel to New Mexico to speak with Barbar
