Grenada….. Honourable Michael Church, Parliamentary Representative for the Constituency of St. John and Minister of the Environment, Foreign Trade and Export Development has been representing the Government of Grenada at the twenty-first Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol in EGYPT.
At the Conference, Church was elected President of the bureau of the twenty-first Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol, which has a membership of 196 independent nations.
Hon. Church was due to return to Grenada on Sunday, 08 November, 2009. However, by virtue of his election to this prestigious position, the Minister has to attend the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund (the Financing Arm of the Montreal Protocol) during the period, November 10-15 at Port Ghalib in Egypt.
Minister Church wishes to extend his thanks to the people of St. John for affording him the opportunity to serve Grenada and placing it prominently on the United Nations’ map.
He is eagerly looking forward to rejoining his constituents shortly.
