Flames rip through Gifford School in Weston

Fire officials are battling a four-alarm blaze right now at a private school in Weston. The blaze was reported at about 6 a.m.

Flames are tearing through the Gifford School at 177 Boston Post Road. SKYFOX is over the scene.

No injuries have been reported, but it's unclear if anyone was inside the Fenn Center, the building which houses the gymnasium, greenhouse, science and technology classrooms, and kitchen. The roof of the building has collapsed.

A noon dismissal was scheduled at the school today before closing for the winter break.

According to its Web site, Gifford is a nonprofit coeducational day school providing a specialized educational and clinical program for students who face a variety of learning, behavioral and/or emotional challenges.

The school just completed the final stage of a 10-year renovation plan.

The school's campus is on Route 20, about a half-mile west of Route 128. The fire is causing traffic delays.
