Victories for St Lucia and Grenada in cricket tournament

The Windward Islands Under-15 Cricket Tournament bowled off on Thursday at cricket grounds in Dennery and Beauchamp.

At the Dennery Cricket Ground, St Lucia defeated Dominica by five wickets. The visitors registered 137 in 47.1 overs. Aljay Liverpool (25) and Brian Nelson (23) were the main contributors.
In the bowling department Vince Smith was superb for St Lucia posting figures of five for 23.

Taking their turn at bat, St Lucia scored 138 for the loss of five in 42.3 overs. Stephen Naitram (25) Mc Cain Bernard (20) delivered for the home side. For Dominica, Ian Lewis disposed of two batters for 18 runs.

Meanwhile at the Beauchamp Cricket Ground, Grenada defeated St Vincent by seven wickets. St Vincent totaled 104 in 24.5 overs. Omari Grant hit for 23.

Bowling for Grenada, Chad Charles retired five for 33. Grenada replied with 105 for three in 31.4 overs with Keon George registering 55. Sherman Hooper was the pick of the bowlers for St Vincent going one for 19.
