The Frome Police are now searching for two men in connection with the death of an elderly woman in Bamboo district of Burnt Savannah in Westmoreland, Jamaica.
Eighty-one-year-old Enid Beckford was found dead at her house this morning.
The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reports that sometime after 3.00am, residents heard explosions and summoned the police.
The police say on their arrival, they found the elderly woman with what appeared to be several gunshot wounds. Commanding Officer for Westmoreland, Superintendent Dezeita Taylor, says the police are perusing strong leads in the case, but she declined to provide any details.
It’s understood that Beckford recently received over a million dollars in damages in a court case involving a vehicular crash.
