KINGSTON, Jamaica, Monday August 9, 2010 – Police in Jamaica have held three suspects, one of whom is a man who allegedly killed a cop last year, in connection with last Friday’s murder of a former People’s National Party (PNP) parliamentarian.

Lawmen held the three men on Saturday afternoon, less than 24 hours after Dr Neil McGill was shot dead as he sat in his car in the parish of Manchester.

Superintendent Lascelles Taylor, Head of the Manchester Police, told the media that the three were found hiding in the bushes in a community located a few miles from the crime scene.

According to police, the 60-year-old Dr McGill had driven to the home of a young lady and was waiting in his car for her around 8:45 pm on Friday when three men attacked the woman.
