Tragic: Gloria Knowles, who was savaged to death by her daughter's dogs, pictured at Harrington's pie and mash shop, Tooting, where she worked
A pensioner died after she went to feed her daughter's pet dogs only for the pack to savage her to death.
Gloria Knowles, 71, was killed by five animals, which included mastiffs and bulldogs, in the back garden of a house in Morden, south London.
Neighbours described how they heard terrible screams but assumed it was a child crying.
The Metropolitan Police are still working out what happened in the incident last night, but her heart had stopped and she died at the scene, ambulance workers confirmed to MailOnline.
Police and paramedics were called to the home of Mrs Knowles' daughter Beverley just before 6.30pm last night.
'Beverley has lots of dogs, there are two which I think are mastiffs which are big with really wide chests,' a neighbour said.
'The dogs had not been out all day. Gloria, from what we can gather, came in to feed them and either fell on the ground before being attacked by the dogs, or the dogs attacked her and she fell over.
'The police said they didn't know whether the dogs attacked her and she had a heart attack or she had a heart attack and then the dogs attacked her.
