Photo of Wendy's employee eating ice cream directly from dispenser goes viral

A photo of a Wendy's employee eating soft serve directly from the dispenser has given new meaning to the saying "all scream for ice cream."

The photo of the unsanitary snacking went viral after being posted on Reddit on Wednesday. Bob Bertini, a spokesman for Wendy's, told the Daily News that the employee involved in the incident was no longer with the restaurant.

"We don't know the exact date the photo was taken, but we believe in it was in May," Bertini wrote in an email. "The incident was totally inappropriate, and we're taking it very seriously."

The incident comes soon after a photo of a Taco Bell worker licking a stack of taco shells went viral.

The company said that the shells were only for training purposes — and no customers were exposed to the slobbery shells. The Taco Bell employee involved in the incident was fired.
