10 year old tried to poison teacher by lacing coffee with bleach

British boys aged just 10 tried to poison their teacher's coffee with a deadly chemical, it's claimed.

The duo, reportedly part of a small gang that called itself "The Mafia," allegedly laced Emma Place's flask with a potentially lethal bleach-like substance.

She was reportedly seconds away from sipping the drink when another pupil told her what had happened.

It later emerged that the 39-year-old, who said she had been overwhelmed by the toxic smell on opening the container, was on a sickening "hit-list" of six teachers.

Police were called to Clapham Terrace Community Primary School, in Leamington Spa, Warwicks, last Tuesday, according to The Sun. They seized the tainted flask, and the two pupils were suspended.

Parents at the 220-pupil school said they were "in shock" after hearing about the incident.

Facebook Anne Maguire, 61, was stabbed to death by a 15-year-old student at Corpus Christi Catholic College.

"It's impossible to say how much malice was behind it - or whether it was simply a playground prank that went too far," one told The Sun.

Although the age of criminal responsibility in England is 10, it's believed that the pupils will not face prosecution.

"Neither the school nor the teacher are pressing charges," said Philip Robbins, chair of the school's governors.

"It was determined it was an isolated incident and was dealt with internally by the school," added a Warwickshire Police spokesman.

The incident came just 24 hours after another teacher - Ann Maguire, 61 - was stabbed to death, allegedly by a pupil at Corpus Christi Catholic College in Leeds.
