TOURISM MARKETING CONFERENCE

St. George’s: Representatives from Grenada’s tourism offices in Canada, the USA, Germany, France, and the UK will spend the period December 1 – 3, 2009, in Grenada discussing their current challenges and charting the way forward for the next three years.

This will take the form of a Marketing Conference at the Grenada Grand Beach Resort where participants will brain storm on brand guidelines, tactical promotions, market segmentation and target marketing.

The three-day symposium, organized by the Grenada Board of Tourism, will also discuss appropriate use of modern technology in the context of exploring new marketing opportunities for Grenada to potential visitors.

During the meeting, participants will be privy to presentations covering topics such as Tourism Policy Framework, The Importance of Branding, Grenada’s Dive Marketing Strategy, and Product Development with a Special emphasis on the Challenges and Opportunities inherent in the Cruise Industry.

Persons invited include hoteliers, stakeholders involved in providing ground services and related activities, investment and financing suppliers, and aviation and cruise ship personnel.

Upon conclusion of the three-day meeting, it is expected that agreement will be reached on a prescribed set of achievable industry goals for the ensuing three year period.
