Antiguan authorities have charged the son of a former prime minister from Dominica with murder.
Police said in a statement Wednesday that 26-year-old Joel Seraphin is one of three suspects accused of shooting a 37-year-old man found dead on a beach in November.
In April, the three men will appear before a judge who will determine whether there is enough evidence to go to trial.
Seraphin has not entered a plea. His attorney, Steadroy Benjamin, did not answer his telephone Wednesday.
Seraphin is the son of Oliver Seraphin, who was Dominica's prime minister from 1979 to 1980 during a political crisis. As prime minister, Oliver Seraphin sought international aid after a hurricane killed dozens of people.
