Grenada government to implement policy on aging

NEW YORK, USA -- The Ministry of Social Development says it will develop an action plan to implement the recently approved Policy on Aging in Grenada.

Social Development Minister Sylvester Quarless is hoping that the implementation of this Policy would improve the quality of life for the aging Grenadian population.

Ackie The Minister’s remarks were contained in a birthday message to centurion Alisha Ackie of Carriacou, who now resides in Brooklyn, New York.

Ackie celebrated her 106th birthday on December 14 and her family hosted a celebration gathering on Saturday which was attended by Consul General Derrick James.

James read the message on behalf of Minister Quarless, extending congratulations to Ackie on reaching this milestone in her life.
