WORKS and Transport Minister Jack Warner yesterday praised National Security Minister Brigadier John Sandy for the weekend just past being "free of murders", which he said was "unprecedented".
Sandy then commented: "The Prime Minister have (sic) been praying too. I've been praying too." He then laughed.
"When the Prime Minister comes back tonight (last night) she will be well contented," Warner added.
Warner had been acting as Prime Minister since July 3, when Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar left for Jamaica to attend the 31st Caricom Heads of Government meeting. She was scheduled to return from Miami, USA last night.
However, three murders were recorded on Sunday night, two in North and one in the East.
Warner was speaking with the media in an impromptu interview following the opening ceremony of a three-day stakeholder consultation on draft policies on tertiary education and a national life skills curriculum held yesterday at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine.
