Florida teen Matthew Scheidt allegedly posed as physician’s assistant

A Florida teen has been accused of falsely posing as a physician’s assistant and carrying out various activities, including cleaning wounds and removing an IV. Matthew Scheidt, 17, allegedly a few days doing this before he was caught.

It’s reported that Matthew Scheidt was working at a hospital as a part-time billing clerk when he allegedly managed to get an ID that allowed him access to other parts of the hospital. He allegedly performed exams on male patients.

The hospital has said that all patients received appropriate care, but that measures will be taken to ensure that this kind of thing can’t happen again.
