St. George’s Grenada…….

The National Primary School Quiz for 2009 organised by the National Water & Sewerage Authority, has finally come to an end. The final four schools met at the GBSS Auditorium on Wednesday December 3, 2009 for what would be anyone’s win. Westmorland School and newcomers St. George’s SDA School, we re the first to take the stage to compete for third place.

After a tug for the lead during the different rounds. St. George’s SDA finally took the lead and never turned back.

When the final bell was rung, a loud cheer echoed throughout the building as St. George’s SDA School were winners of the third place position.

In the match up that everyone was waiting for, the championship round between St. George’s Anglican Senior School and Paraclete Government School it was very evident that St, George’s Anglican School came to take the winning spot and at the end of the Quiz so it was as even before the Quizmaster announced them as the champions the students, teachers and supporters in the audience were all on their feet cheering. St, George’s Anglican Senior School are the 2009 NAWASA National Primary School Quiz Champions.

The Prize giving ceremony immediately followed during which all students from the quarter finals received certificates from NAWASA. The top three students overall from the preliminary round were awarded vouchers compliments Grenada Teachers School Supplies.

They are Levon Brunson from Westmorland School, Rennisha Gooding from Constantine Methodist School and Glendonna George from Hermitage Government School.

The following prizes were awarded to the top four schools:

· 4^th Place Westmorland received a gift basket from Huggins Distribution, Trophies and $500 from NAWASA

· 3^rd place St. George’s SDA received a gift basket from Huggins Distribution, a scenic tour of the island with their coach compliments Grenada Board of Tourism, 3 gift vouchers to shop at Real Value IGA Supermarket, Internet & Cable Service compliments Flow Grenada Limited, Trophies and $1000 compliments NAWASA

· 2^nd place Paraclete Government School received 3 gift vouchers compliments Real Value IGA  Supermarket, a scenic tour of the island with their coach compliments Grenada Board of Tourism, Internet & Cable Service compliments Flow Grenada Limited, Trophies and $ 2000 compliments NAWASA.

· 1^st place St. George’s Senior Anglican School received 3 gift vouchers compliments Real Value IGA  Supermarket, a scenic tour of the island with their coach compliments Grenada Board of Tourism, 3 gift baskets compliments Huggins Distribution, Internet & Cable Service compliments Flow Grenada Limited, A computer compliments Grenada Breweries Limited, Trophies and $ 3000 compliments NAWASA. The coach Mr. Pierre received a handset compliments LIME.
