St. George, January 6, 2010: Leader of Her Majesty’s Opposition, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell has recommended to the Governor General, that Mr. Anthony Boatswain be appointed as a Senator in the Upper House of Parliament.
Boatswain who was a former Minister of Finance, Economic Development, Trade and Industry in the New National Party Government, will replace the Mr. Kennedy Roberts who has resigned from the position to pursue academic studies.
Dr. Keith Mitchell and the entire New National Party team has expressed appreciation to Mr. Roberts for the contribution he has made during the period he served as a member of the Senate and wishes him success in his academic pursuit.
Dr. Mitchell says he looks forward to continue working with Mr. Roberts who has indicated that he will continue to offer assistance to the Opposition whenever possible as he is still committed to the further development of Grenada, and to the restoration of hope to all people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
